You, Ocean

You, Ocean

The intention is to divide, sow chaos and discord.

But you are compassionate, sane and informed.

There is no headline here:

You are the ocean polishing stones, carving the block. No hurry. You. Ocean.

You are waves rolling granite, ever in motion. You are one eternal motion, defining time. You leave a feather on the sand, that’s all.

You are sculpting the sandstone, in collaboration with the wind. You. Patient sculptor.

There is no division, no chaos, no anxiety here, beneath the surface spray.

Rising. Falling. Lifting with the wave and gently setting your bare feet back down into the cool pebbly ocean floor.

You. Ocean. Centered. Grounded in the elements.

Down where the whales dive -that’s how deep you go.

You. Ocean. Tides. Full moon. Day and night observing.

If you need to be a hermit crab, grab an empty shell and park on a pebble. I’ll be just a swirly tide pool away.

You. Ocean. Gravity. Grounded.

Peace.

Hermit crab- compliments on your extremely tasteful garden of polished stones out front. Nice.

The Tree is You

The objective is to sow division, chaos and agitation.

Remain compassionate, sane and informed.

You are a tree with roots deep in earth.

Your roots reach down deep, grasping, interlacing beloved cool, moist soil.

You. Tree. Ancient. Impervious. Breathing and hydrating and meditating in stillness, reaching as always into the rock, the crust, to the mantle.

Your roots on their way mingle with all the other roots systems too, as they draw water upward to the topmost branches of your crown. Deep down, with the worms and grubs and bugs and deeper down, into the most hidden chambers, your roots entwine.

You are tall as the sky and deep as earth.

The tree is you. Centered, with branches swaying with the waves and currents of the evening atmosphere of earth.

Tree. You. In tonight’s full moon, and standing before all the scattered stars of the galaxy.

Your integrity holds it together. So does that of the littlest bug. You and the bug, you’re doing a good job just now.

Especially little bug. 👍
